Our Network

Description of our high-performance and fully redundant network.

Our network utilizes the routing and switching products from Juniper Networks, Cisco Systems, and Foundry Networks. We utilize Juniper M20 and M5 routers as border routers, Foundry FastIron series switches in our distribution layer and Cisco 3550 switches in our aggregation/customer layer. Our network is fully meshed, using BGP, and redundant with three backbone providers. Our current network consists of Level(3) (GigE), Savvis (GigE), BtNAccess (GigE), AT&T (FastE), nLayer (GigE), and Cogent (GigE), which is only used in our value network. We took care in choosing those four carriers since throughout our research they appeared to be the fastest and some of the most reliable networks around. In the building there is also fiber from dozens of other companies such as MCI, AT&T, Global Crossing, Abovenet, Qwest, XO Communication, Sprint, and Williams. We also provide two separate network levels, our Premium Network and our Value Network. These networks are geared towards different needs and have different benefits.
